San Luis Obispo Women's Soccer League, for women 18 and over who want to have fun and get into shape playing soccer! Experienced or first-time players, there's a team for everybody!
SLOWS was founded in January 2001. Board Meetings are scheduled for the 1st Monday of every month at Hoovers 101 in Atascadero. Meetings start at 7 P.M. SLOWS also directs the annual FIRECRACKER INVITATIONAL tournament every summer. This tournament welcomes adult women's teams from all over the country. The tournament benefits a local educational scholarship to those pursuing higher education.
The scholarship committee awarded $6000 in scholarships this year!

Currently 10 teams play in our recreational league: Dynamite, The Crush, Shooters, Lightning, Odyssey, Surge, Atlas, Napoli, Fire and Ice, and Turkey Vultures.

2009 Scholarship Recipient Danielle Nolan.
Congratulations to the 2009 SLOWS scholarship awarded to our Atascadero High School recipient, Danielle Nolan.
Upon her graduation from high school on 6/11, she will be preparing to enter Cal State University at Monterey Bay in the fall.
